Most couples begin with a simple fertility evaluation — a conversation, a few basic tests, and a clear picture of what's happening. From there, many paths exist, and not all of them lead to IVF. See how a typical journey unfolds →

About the Doctor

Dr. Ritu Yadav

MBBS · DNB (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) · DMAS/FMAS · FRM — IVF Specialist

Awaiting Dr. Ritu Yadav's photo

Dr. Ritu Yadav is an obstetrician–gynaecologist and IVF specialist practising at Mahavir Multispeciality Hospital and IVF Center, Balotra. Her training spans the full arc of women's health — from her MBBS and DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to advanced fellowship qualifications in minimal access surgery (DMAS/FMAS) and reproductive medicine (FRM).

This combination matters in fertility care. Many causes of infertility — endometriosis, fibroids, blocked tubes, ovarian cysts — benefit from a doctor who can both diagnose surgically and treat medically, without referring couples back and forth between specialists.

Her practice is built on a simple belief: every couple deserves a clear explanation before any treatment begins.

Qualifications

Training & expertise

Degree

MBBS

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery — foundation medical degree.

Postgraduate

DNB — Obstetrics & Gynaecology

National Board postgraduate specialisation in women's health, pregnancy and childbirth.

Fellowship

DMAS / FMAS — Minimal Access Surgery

Advanced training in laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic surgery — smaller cuts, faster recovery.

Fellowship

FRM — Reproductive Medicine

Dedicated fellowship in fertility treatment: ovulation induction, IUI, IVF and ICSI.

Her approach

"First understand, then treat."

Fertility treatment can feel overwhelming — unfamiliar words, big decisions, quiet worry. Dr. Ritu's consultations begin with listening: your history, your reports, your questions. Treatment is suggested only when its purpose is clear to you, and simpler options are always discussed before advanced ones.

Our Services

Fertility & women's health treatments

From first evaluation to advanced IVF — explained simply, offered honestly.

3D render of the female reproductive system — fertility evaluation
Start here

Fertility Evaluation

A structured assessment for couples trying to conceive — usually recommended after 12 months of trying (6 months if the woman is over 35). It tells us why, so treatment isn't guesswork.

  • Detailed history & examination for both partners
  • Hormone profile, ovarian reserve (AMH) & ultrasound
  • Semen analysis and tubal assessment where indicated
3D render of the IUI procedure — prepared sperm placed in the uterus
First-line treatment

IUI — Intrauterine Insemination

A gentler, simpler fertility treatment in which prepared sperm is placed directly inside the uterus around ovulation. Often the right first step for unexplained infertility, mild male-factor issues or ovulation problems.

  • Cycle monitoring with ultrasound
  • Ovulation induction where needed
  • Quick, outpatient procedure — no admission required
3D embryology render of ICSI — single sperm injected into an egg
Advanced reproductive care

IVF & ICSI

In-vitro fertilisation: eggs and sperm meet in the laboratory, and a healthy embryo is transferred to the uterus. ICSI adds precision by injecting a single sperm into each egg — valuable in male-factor infertility or after previous failed cycles.

  • Personalised stimulation protocols
  • Egg retrieval, fertilisation & embryo culture
  • Embryo transfer with careful luteal support
3D render of a polycystic ovary with multiple small follicles
Common & treatable

PCOS & Ovulation Disorders

Polycystic ovary syndrome is one of the most frequent causes of irregular cycles and difficulty conceiving — and one of the most manageable. Care combines lifestyle guidance, medical treatment and ovulation induction tailored to your goals.

  • Cycle regulation & hormonal balance
  • Ovulation induction for conception
  • Long-term metabolic health guidance
Conceptual render of laparoscopic keyhole surgery
DMAS / FMAS expertise

Laparoscopic & Hysteroscopic Surgery

Keyhole surgery to diagnose and treat conditions that affect fertility — endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, blocked tubes, uterine septum — through tiny incisions, with shorter hospital stays and faster recovery.

  • Diagnostic hystero-laparoscopy for infertility
  • Fibroid & cyst removal, endometriosis treatment
  • Fertility-preserving surgical techniques
3D render of sperm cells — male fertility
For both partners

Male Infertility Care

In nearly half of all couples, a male factor contributes. Evaluation and treatment of the male partner is a routine, respectful part of care here — never an afterthought.

  • Semen analysis & hormonal evaluation
  • Medical management of low counts & motility
  • ICSI for significant male-factor infertility
3D render of a developing foetus — pregnancy care
After the good news

Obstetrics & High-Risk Pregnancy Care

Care doesn't end at a positive test. Pregnancies — especially those conceived after fertility treatment — are followed closely through every trimester, with 24-hour hospital backup for delivery.

  • Antenatal care & growth monitoring
  • High-risk pregnancy management
  • Normal & caesarean delivery, round the clock
Render of egg freezing / vitrification — fertility preservation
Planning ahead

Fertility Preservation & Counselling

For women and couples who wish to plan parenthood for later — whether for medical reasons or life circumstances — options such as egg and embryo freezing can be discussed openly, with honest guidance on what they can and cannot promise.

  • Ovarian reserve assessment
  • Egg & embryo freezing counselling
  • Pre-treatment fertility advice before medical therapy

Your IVF Journey

What actually happens, step by step

IVF feels less frightening when you can see the whole path. Here is how a typical cycle unfolds at our centre — roughly four to six weeks from start to test.

01

Consultation & evaluation

A detailed discussion of your history and reports, baseline tests for both partners, and an honest conversation about whether IVF is the right step — or whether a simpler option should be tried first.

02

Ovarian stimulation 8–12 days

Daily hormone injections help several eggs mature in one cycle instead of the usual single egg. Growth is tracked with ultrasound scans every few days, and doses are adjusted to your body's response.

03

Egg retrieval Day procedure

A short procedure under sedation — eggs are collected through the vagina with ultrasound guidance. No cuts, no stitches. Most women go home the same day. The male partner provides a semen sample the same morning.

04

Fertilisation in the lab

Eggs and sperm meet in the embryology laboratory — by conventional IVF, or by ICSI where each egg is injected with a single selected sperm. Embryos are cultured and observed for three to five days.

05

Embryo transfer Painless, no anaesthesia

A healthy embryo is gently placed into the uterus through a thin catheter — a few minutes, similar in feel to a routine check-up. Remaining good-quality embryos can be frozen for future use.

06

The two-week wait & pregnancy test

About two weeks after transfer, a blood test (beta-hCG) tells us the result. Whatever the outcome, you will not face it alone — we sit together, understand what happened, and plan the way forward.

Honest expectations

A word we believe in saying clearly

No fertility treatment anywhere in the world can guarantee a pregnancy. Success depends on age, egg and sperm quality, and individual health factors. What we can promise is careful medicine, transparent counselling at every step, and a plan that respects both your hopes and your circumstances.

Practical comfort

Designed around real life

Most visits during an IVF cycle are short morning scans. Being treated in Balotra means no long travel, no hotel stays, and family nearby — small things that matter greatly during an emotional journey.
